We are pleased to release our Annual Report for the 2014 financial year. Once This year has been an extremely busy year for RISE as our membership base has grown beyond 2000 members. Members have registered with RISE to access advocacy, support and other services.?RISE?would like to acknowledge that while?2014?was another?successful?year, 2015 will prove to be another challenging year.
In 2013/14, with minimal funding, RISE has delivered some important services, workshops and projects for the community such as:
- Advocacy and welfare support
- The Food pantry
- Resume clinics
- Drop-in Centre?
- Employment services
- Housing services
- ESL classes
- Forums and workshops
- Art and music workshops
- Sexual health workshops
Further RISE has also launched three new projects for our members in?2015
- LGBTIQ support services for asylum seekers and refugees
- Art projects at public housing flats
- Ability Rights Services for asylum seekers and refugees
These projects were designed based on feedback from our members and so far the projects have received positive responses
The Annual Report highlights these achievements and also discusses the various projects that were run during the 2014 year.
